About the Service

What is Swiss Transcript?

Swiss Transcript is a Swiss service that converts your audio and video files into text and automatically generates summaries. Our platform uses state-of-the-art technology to deliver accurate transcriptions and structured summaries quickly, while ensuring the security and confidentiality of your data.

What types of files can I transcribe with Swiss Transcript?

We support a wide range of common formats:

  • Audio: aac, mp3, m4a, wav, wma, flac
  • Video: avi, mov, mp4, mkv, wmv

The maximum file size per file is 2 GB.

How does the transcription and report generation process work?
  1. Record directly from the platform or import your audio/video file
  2. The system processes the file automatically and you can download the transcription (RTF)
  3. Select up to 3 summaries and download them in RTF format
How accurate are your transcriptions?

Our technology typically achieves 95%+ accuracy for high-quality recordings.

  • Use a high-quality microphone
  • Avoid background noise
  • Speak clearly at a moderate pace
  • Avoid overlapping voices
  • Limit active speakers (ideally ≤ 4)
  • A brief introduction round helps speaker recognition

Accents, speaking speed, and technical terms may affect the final result.

How does Swiss Transcript help me save time?

Manual note-taking is time-consuming and error-prone. Swiss Transcript automates transcription and summary generation, delivering structured, reliable, and immediately shareable reports so you can focus on higher-value tasks.

How does Swiss Transcript support project management and decision-making?

Automatic summaries turn meetings, interviews, and work sessions into clear and actionable syntheses: quick identification of key points, decisions, and next steps. Multiple summary types are available. Custom solutions and pricing are available for specific needs.

Who is behind Swiss Transcript?

A team of five professionals based in Switzerland. The project was born from a real need: the lack of a secure solution for confidential interviews.

Security and Privacy

Where are my data stored?

All your data are processed and stored in Switzerland on secure servers. No third-party cloud services from the USA or China are used.

Are my data safe with Swiss Transcript?

Yes. We apply strict protection standards: encryption during transfer and at rest, automatic deletion of source files after transcription, and strict access segregation.

Are my data used to train AI models?

No. Your files, transcriptions, and summaries are used solely to provide the service and are never used to train AI models.

Is Swiss Transcript GDPR and Swiss DSG compliant?

Yes. Swiss Transcript fully complies with both the GDPR and the Swiss DSG, ensuring a high level of data protection.

Use of the Service

How long do you keep my audio files?

We do not keep source files after transcription. They are permanently deleted once processing is complete.

How do you protect my transcriptions and summaries?

They are securely stored and accessible only through your password-protected account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication. You can delete your documents at any time.

Can I use Swiss Transcript on my smartphone?

Yes. You can record directly or import pre-recorded audio files. A mobile app is planned for 2026.

Live Recording & Mobile Use

How does live recording on a smartphone work?
  • Live recordings remain local until they are imported.
  • They do not appear on desktop before upload.
  • After import or transcription, they are available on all your devices.

Tip: an incoming phone call may pause the recording. Return to the page to ensure recording has resumed.

Why don’t I see my mobile recordings on desktop?

Live recordings stay on the smartphone until they are imported. After upload or processing, they become available on desktop.

  • Before import → visible only on the smartphone
  • After import → visible on both smartphone and computer

Dictaphone & Meetings

Can I record with a dictaphone and use Swiss Transcript?

Yes. For in-person or group meetings, a multidirectional dictaphone is recommended. Upload the file (.mp3, .wav, etc.) to the platform to start transcription.

How can I find a dictaphone recording on my smartphone?

iPhone: Voice Memos app → Save to Files → on the Swiss Transcript website, select Import file and choose the location.
Android: Record using the voice recorder app, then export the file to your documents before importing.

Can I record an in-person meeting live?

Yes. From your computer, smartphone, or tablet, log in and start recording directly.

How can I use Swiss Transcript for video conferences?

You can record meetings directly on the platform. Participants may use headsets or earphones, as long as the microphone correctly captures the main speaker’s voice.

Summaries

Will I receive a summary of the transcription?

Yes. Up to 3 automatically generated summaries are available (e.g. official minutes, internal report, HR interview, psychological consultation, semi-structured interview, focus group).

Can I get a custom-made summary?

Yes. For larger volumes or specific requirements, we offer tailor-made summaries. Contact us for a customized proposal.

In what format will I receive the summary(ies)?

Summaries are available on the platform and downloadable in RTF format, compatible with most word-processing software.

Can I copy, paste, and edit transcriptions and summaries?

Yes. RTF files are designed to allow easy editing, sharing, and copy/paste between tools.

Transcription Quality

Why do you recommend meetings with few participants?

To maintain an accuracy rate of around 95%. Too many simultaneous speakers or voices far from the microphone degrade sound quality and therefore transcription quality.

How can I improve the quality of my transcriptions?
  • Use a high-quality microphone and stay close to it
  • Reduce background noise and avoid overlapping speech
  • Speak clearly at a moderate pace
  • Limit the number of active participants
  • Start with a brief round of introductions
