1. Discovering Swiss Transcript

What is Swiss Transcript?

Swiss Transcript is a Swiss platform for audio and video transcription that automatically generates structured meeting minutes. It converts your recordings (meetings, interviews, consultations, dictations) into faithful text, then produces ready-to-use minutes based on industry templates.

The platform is designed for professionals and organisations handling sensitive data who require genuine confidentiality. Everything is hosted in Switzerland, no data crosses borders, and your recordings are never used to train our AI models.

Who is Swiss Transcript for?

All professionals who regularly conduct interviews, sessions or meetings and need a faithful written record: researchers, students, lawyers, psychologists, psychotherapists, coaches, mediators, consultants, HR managers, fiduciaries, architects, communication agencies, municipal secretaries, social workers, employment advisers, disability insurance offices, guardians, police services, occupational physicians, associations, foundations, NGOs.

More broadly, any freelancer or organisation for whom confidentiality is critical.

Which languages does Swiss Transcript support?

French, standard German, Swiss German (all main dialects: Zurich, Bern, Basel, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Aargau) and English. Italian will be added in June 2026 to cover all Swiss national languages.

Swiss German is one of our strengths: we specialise in its recognition and continuously improve our models.

How accurate is the transcription?

Over 95% in French, standard German and English on good-quality recordings. For Swiss German, we guarantee around 95% depending on the dialect.

Quality always depends on recording quality: distance to the microphone, background noise, number of speakers, voice overlaps.

Can you transcribe Swiss German?

Yes, Swiss German transcription is one of our core capabilities. We recognise the Zurich (Züridütsch), Bern (Berndeutsch), Basel (Baseldeutsch) dialects, as well as Lucerne, St. Gallen and Aargau dialects.

To optimise recognition of a specific dialect or domain-specific vocabulary, we can co-create a personalised prompt with you, including a tailored glossary. Contact us at hello@swisstranscript.ch.

How many people can be recorded in a single session?

Swiss Transcript works best with conversations of up to 4 or 5 people. Beyond that, quality drops due to voice overlaps and difficulty identifying speakers.

Our tool is designed for interviews, consultations, small meetings and committees, not for large assemblies.

Does Swiss Transcript work in person, on video calls or hybrid?

The tool is primarily designed for in-person conversations: office consultations, home visits, physical meetings. It is also compatible with hybrid sessions including 1 to 3 remote participants.

Is there a demo available?

Yes, demo videos are available directly on the demo page, in French, German and English. They are self-explanatory, no sales meeting required.

With the 60 free minutes on sign-up, you can process a full one-hour interview and generate a structured meeting report to assess quality on your own use case.

How does a transcription actually work?

You record your session directly on the platform or import an existing audio or video file. The platform automatically transcribes your recording, identifies speakers and timestamps the exchanges.

You then automatically generate up to 3 structured meeting reports from ready-to-use templates, or export the raw transcription. Your data stays in your secure personal workspace.

2. Pricing and free trial

Is there a free trial?

Yes. You get 60 minutes of free transcription on sign-up, with no credit card, no commitment. That's enough to process a full one-hour interview and generate a structured meeting report.

What are your prices?

Three usage modes depending on frequency:

  • Pay-per-minute: CHF 0.17 per minute.
  • Discounted hour packs: Pack 5 h at CHF 35, Pack 10 h at CHF 60, Pack 20 h at CHF 100.
  • Monthly subscriptions: Starter (5 h for CHF 20), Essential (10 h for CHF 35), Pro (20 h for CHF 65), Business (50 h for CHF 150), Expert (100 h for CHF 250).

Annual subscriptions get a 20% discount. Above 100 hours/month, we issue a custom commercial offer. Contact us at hello@swisstranscript.ch.

Are subscriptions locked in for a fixed term?

No. All monthly subscriptions are without commitment and can be cancelled anytime from your user account. The annual subscription offers a 20% discount in exchange for a 12-month commitment.

Do prepaid minutes expire?

No. Prepaid credits (per minute, per hour or in packs) have no expiry date. Use them at your own pace.

Are there hidden costs or setup fees?

None. The platform is a web service usable directly from your browser, with no app to install, no hardware to buy, no setup fees. You only pay for usage.

Is billing in CHF?

Yes, exclusively in Swiss francs. No exchange-rate uncertainty and no bank conversion fees for Swiss customers.

Can a subscription be shared across several collaborators?

Yes. Our Enterprise account lets you invite up to 100 collaborators for free, sharing a common hour credit while each having a strictly private workspace. No per-user cost, centralised billing.

How does the Enterprise account work?

The Enterprise account lets an organisation share transcription volume across several users. The hour credit (prepaid or subscription) is shared between all invited collaborators, who each have their own credentials and private workspace. No access to other members' transcriptions. Billing is centralised on a single administrator account.

3. Features and capabilities

Which file formats are supported?

Audio: MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, WMA, FLAC.
Video: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WMV.
Maximum file size: 16 GB.

In which format can I export my transcripts and meeting minutes?

Word (.docx), PDF, RTF, as well as SRT and VTT for video subtitling.

Can I import a file from a dictaphone or phone?

Yes, you can import an existing audio or video file from any source: dictaphone, smartphone, dedicated recorder, video camera. You can also record directly on the platform via your browser, with no installation.

How long does a transcription take?

A one-hour audio recording is typically transcribed in a few minutes. You receive a notification in your user account as soon as your transcript is ready.

Can I record offline?

Yes. Recording can be done offline if you open the recording function in your browser before going to an area without network. Once reconnected, you manually trigger the transcription. Useful for home visits, fieldwork or poorly covered areas.

Is there a mobile app to install?

No. Swiss Transcript is a responsive web platform usable directly from your browser on desktop (Windows, Mac, Linux) or on the go from smartphone and tablet. No installation required.

Can the AI make mistakes?

Yes, like any AI, errors are possible, especially for rare proper nouns, very technical vocabulary or recordings of poor audio quality. We recommend human validation of the result for any sensitive or official content.

Can speakers be identified automatically?

Yes, Swiss Transcript automatically identifies the different speakers with timestamps for each utterance. Accuracy is optimal up to 4 or 5 speakers in person.

How can I optimise the quality of my transcription?

A few best practices: use a good microphone or move closer to the mic, limit background noise, avoid voice overlaps by letting each person speak in turn, and don't exceed 4 or 5 speakers. For acronyms or specific technical terms, a custom prompt can significantly improve the result.

4. Meeting minutes and custom prompts

What types of meeting minutes can you generate?

Several ready-to-use templates are available in the platform: semi-structured interview, official minutes, generic summary, internal meeting report, focus group, psychotherapy consultation, legal hearing minutes, public body minutes, HR interview.

New industry templates are added regularly based on user feedback.

How many meeting minutes are included per transcription?

Up to 3 meeting minute generations are included in the price of each transcription, at no extra cost. You can, for instance, generate an official minutes, a generic summary and an internal meeting report from the same recording.

Can you create a meeting minute template specific to my industry?

Yes, we can add generic industry templates to the platform on request, for example for career advisers, case management services or co-ownership assemblies. Contact us at hello@swisstranscript.ch to suggest a template.

Can you create a custom prompt for my specific context?

Yes. Beyond generic templates, we offer a custom prompt service tailored to your vocabulary, acronyms, interview structure and expected report format.

Three support tiers are available depending on complexity, starting at CHF 200. Contact us at hello@swisstranscript.ch.

Is the custom prompt ever offered for free?

Yes, for any customer subscribing to an annual subscription of at least 50 hours/month (Business or Expert), a simple prompt is included.

How does the custom prompt process work?

The process is simple and asynchronous, in writing. You share a reference document (interview guide, existing template, typical example). We draft a first prompt version tailored to your context. You test it and send written feedback. We iterate to refine the result based on the tier chosen.

5. Security, confidentiality and compliance

Where is my data hosted?

All your data is hosted and processed exclusively in Switzerland, on Infomaniak infrastructure in Carouge (Geneva), an ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certified data centre.

No data leaves Switzerland at any time.

What happens to my audio file after transcription?

The source audio or video file is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers immediately after transcription. This deletion is irreversible.

And the transcription itself?

The transcription and meeting minutes stay in your user interface, under your exclusive control. You can delete them manually at any time. No Swiss Transcript employee has access to the content of your files.

Is my data used to train the AI?

No, never. Your data is used neither to train nor improve our AI models. This is a contractual commitment written into our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

Are you GDPR and Swiss DPA compliant?

Yes. Swiss Transcript is compliant with the GDPR (EU) and the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (Swiss DPA / nFADP). We provide our standard documents on request: DPA (Data Processing Agreement), TOM (technical and organisational measures), NDA template.

Our incident notification deadline is 72 hours maximum, and the customer has audit rights.

No, Swiss Transcript is offered exclusively as a secure SaaS hosted in Switzerland. We don't plan to offer an on-premise solution.
