SwissTranscript is a Swiss automatic transcription service for audio and video files. Our platform uses cutting-edge technology to quickly convert your recordings into text while ensuring the security and confidentiality of your data.

What types of files can I transcribe with SwissTranscript?

SwissTranscript supports a wide range of common audio and video formats to ensure your recordings can be easily converted to text. Our clients use files such as:
Audio: aac, mp3, m4a, wav, wma, flac.
Video: avi, mov, mp4, mkv, wmv.
The maximum file size is 2GB, ensuring compatibility with longer or high-quality recordings.

How does the transcription process work?

Upload your audio or video file to our platform. Our system will automatically process your file. You'll receive a notification once the transcription is complete, then you can download your transcription in RTF format.

Can I use SwissTranscript directly from my smartphone?

Yes, you can use SwissTranscript directly from your smartphone. Log into your account and import a pre-recorded audio file. If the audio clip was recorded using the Voice Memos app (iPhone), first export your audio clip to be transcribed using the "Save to Files" function in the Voice Memos app. Then in the SwissTranscript app, select "Import File" and navigate to the location where the exported recording is stored.

What are timecodes (timestamps) used for?

Timecodes indicate the exact moment when each part of the text is spoken in the recording. They are useful for easily navigating between the text and original audio.

How accurate are your transcriptions?

Our automatic transcription technology generally achieves accuracy of over 95% for good quality recordings. To further improve accuracy, it's recommended to have a clear recording without excessive background noise. Accents, speech speed, and technical terms can influence the final result. SwissTranscript continues to improve its algorithms to offer the best automatic transcriptions in the Swiss market.

How can I improve the quality of my transcriptions?

Use a good quality microphone when recording.
Avoid excessive background noise.
Speak clearly and at a steady pace.
For specific terms or proper names, we are working on adding a custom vocabulary function (coming soon).

How does pricing work?

Our pricing is based on the duration of your files, at 0.20 CHF/EUR per minute. You also get 30 free minutes to test our service.

How can I purchase credit?

You can purchase credit directly from your user account. We offer various payment options, including credit card, PayPal, and TWINT for our Swiss clientele.

Do you offer packages or volume discounts for large volumes?

Yes, we offer credit packages that allow you to save:
5-hour package (300 minutes): Get a 20% discount on the standard rate. This package costs you 48 CHF/EUR instead of 60 CHF/EUR.
10-hour package (600 minutes): Enjoy a 25% discount on the standard rate. This package costs you 90 CHF/EUR instead of 120 CHF/EUR.

How can I buy a credit package?

To buy a credit package, log into your SwissTranscript account and go to the "Buy Credit" section. There you'll find options for 5 and 10-hour packages. Select the package that suits you and proceed with payment. The credit will be immediately added to your account and you can use it for your future transcriptions.

Does credit purchased in packages have an expiration date?

No, credit purchased through our packages has no expiration date. You can use it whenever you want, without time constraints. This is one of the advantages of our flexible system, designed to adapt to your needs.

Is my data safe with SwissTranscript?

The security of your data is a priority for SwissTranscript. As a Swiss transcription service, we adhere to the strictest data protection standards, including encryption of files during transfer and storage. Your files are automatically deleted after transcription to ensure total confidentiality.
